Set up your first workspace
Go from an empty workspace to a reviewed list of people with the evidence behind every recommendation.

Start by defining who you care about. Then choose the evidence Lumnis should look for and review the people it returns.

1. Add your company details
During onboarding, describe what your company does, who you sell to, and the problem you solve. Lumnis uses these details when it prepares Personas and research. A specific description works better than a broad category alone.
Include answers to these questions:
- What do you sell?
- Which teams feel the problem most directly?
- What makes a company a strong fit?
- Which companies or people should never appear?
You can update these details later in workspace settings.
2. Create a persona
A Persona is a saved description of the people and companies you want to find. From Home, choose Find Prospects, then create a persona when the wizard asks who you want to find. You can also create and manage personas from Personas in the main navigation.
Start with one concrete sentence:
Heads of security at Series B fintech companies preparing for enterprise audits.
Review the suggested person and company requirements before continuing. Also check the exclusions. These fields tell Lumnis who to include and leave out.
3. Choose a search type
For a first run, High Intent is a useful default when you want people who are posting or engaging with relevant topics now. Use General Search when the profile itself is the main evidence you need.
The search type determines where Lumnis looks. The Persona determines who qualifies. Read Search types before choosing a more specialized search.
4. Review before launch
The final step shows the search name, audience description, criteria, and search size. Check three things:
- The role and seniority describe the actual buyer.
- Company requirements are must-haves only when you truly want them to filter.
- Exclusions cover existing customers, competitors, and irrelevant regions or profiles.
Launch only when this page describes the list you would be willing to review. The credit cost is shown before the run starts.
5. Read the project, not only the names
The completed search opens as a Project. Begin with the top-ranked people, but open the detail view before deciding. Review these four things together:
Person + fit label + linked source + explanation.
Approve or reject people based on whether the reasoning matches your market. Those decisions keep the workspace useful and help future work start from your team's judgment.
Searches and research can keep running after you leave the page. Return through Projects to check the result.
